Common questions

How much does a certified translation cost?

Certified translation is $40 to $50 per page (up to 225 words), depending on the language. For example, Spanish is $40 per page and Arabic is $50 per page. Rush delivery adds 50%. The USCIS certificate of translation is included at no extra cost.

How much does an apostille cost in Virginia?

A standard Virginia apostille through CyberInk is $150 for the first document and $100 for each additional document, in 7 to 10 business days. Rush service is $175 for the first document and $100 for each additional one, in 3 to 5 business days. Federal apostilles from the U.S. Department of State are $175 for the first document and $100 for each additional one. Prices include our review, submission, the state fee and tracked return shipping in the U.S.

How long does a certified translation take?

Documents of 1 to 4 pages are usually delivered in 1 to 2 business days, 5 to 8 pages in 2 to 3 business days, and longer documents in a few more days. Rush delivery is up to 75% faster. Notarization, apostille and shipping add to these times.

What is the difference between certified and sworn translation?

A certified translation comes with a signed statement from the translator confirming it is complete and accurate. It is what USCIS, U.S. courts and most U.S. offices ask for. A sworn translation is made by a translator appointed by a court or government in another country, such as Spain, France or Brazil, and is what those countries' offices often require.

Will USCIS accept the translation?

Yes. Our certified translations include the full-text translation and a signed certificate of translation, which is what USCIS requires.

When does a translation need a notarization or an apostille?

Some offices ask for the translator's certification to be notarized. If the translation will be used in another country that belongs to the Hague Apostille Convention, it may also need an apostille. We notarize the certification and get the apostille from the Virginia Secretary of the Commonwealth in the same order.

Do I need to live in Virginia to order?

No. Translations are delivered by email, so you can order from anywhere in the U.S. We meet local clients in Haymarket, Gainesville, Manassas and the rest of Northern Virginia, and apostille originals can be mailed to us from any state.

How do I send you my documents?

For your privacy, documents are not collected through the order form. After we review your request, we send a private, upload-only link for scans or clear photos. For apostilles, we also need the original or a certified copy by mail, drop-off or local pickup.

We work with an established professional translation company and manage the order for you, from checking your documents to delivering the finished translation. You deal only with CyberInk.

When do I pay?

After we confirm the price and timing. We email an invoice you can pay by card, and work starts once it is paid and we have your documents.
